What happens is that disbanding causes all guilds to hiccup as if they shifted 'in-line' by one, thus causing all guild traders on that server to glitch and show 'None Hired'. You can always tell when one of the big cartel guilds played the system by using a dummy guild, because the glitch happens as a result.
